Google brings Gemini’s smartest feature to everyone

In mid-December 2025, Google added NotebookLM integration to Gemini, combining two of its most powerful AI tools. Initially only available on the web, the integration rolled out to the mobile app at the beginning of this year. Then, in early April, the company further deepened the integration by adding notebooks to Gemini. Now, it is expanding the feature to all Gemini users, free or paid.

Google’s paid AI subscribers gained priority access to notebooks in Gemini. In its early April announcement, Google said the feature will expand to mobile, free users, and more countries in the coming weeks. Three weeks later, the NotebookLM account on X announced that notebooks in the Gemini app are now available to all free and paid users on mobile.

Do note that paid Google AI subscribers can add more sources to their notebooks than those on the free tier. The free plan is limited to 50 sources per notebook, while AI subscribers can add between 100 and 600 sources, depending on the plan.

Think of notebooks in Gemini as folders for your conversations, but smarter. Apart from helping you organize your conversations, you can add relevant files and documents to a notebook for additional context.

If you heavily use Gemini for research purposes, you can put all related conversations and documents inside a notebook. That way, it will become a centralized hub for that specific project.

Additionally, notebooks in Gemini sync with NotebookLM as well (and vice versa). This way, you can use Gemini to do all the heavy lifting for a project and then switch to NotebookLM for further analysis and discussions based on the source material.

Gemini upgrades don’t stop with notebooks

Notebook support in Gemini is still not available in all European countries, but Google says this is “coming soon.”

This improvement to Gemini comes within days of Google adding support for file generation to its AI chatbot. You can now ask Gemini to export your research into multiple file formats, including PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Markdown (MD), Rich Text Format (RTF), and more.

While minor, this feature ensures you no longer have to copy and paste Gemini’s responses manually for sharing with others.

PakarPBN

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.

In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.

The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
